Vicar’s desk notes: March

Hello everyone. I hope you are enjoying the fact that we
are in this glorious Easter Season. Jesus lives in our
lives and in our hearts. We are enjoying the stability of
consistent warm weather and fun outdoor activities.
We had a wonderful baptism of Martha Herren’s
granddaughter on Easter Sunday, A baby shower on the
last weekend in April and a wedding on May 4th. There
are activities happening at St. Michael’s. People are
beginning to notice our beautiful church. Steve Rogge
and David Noel are taking excellent care of the grounds
and the building. The Altar Guild, Flower Ministry,
Choir, and Liturgy Committee are making sure our
church is always looking good, sounding good and
actively planning for an engaging liturgy when we come
to church on Sunday. The Mission Council is keeping
us moving in ways that will benefit us now and in the
future. We are looking for things that will keep us
financially stable and also to attract new members. This
month we look forward to the Garage Sale being run by
the ECW on Saturday, May 18th. I hope you will come
out to be a part of this, find some bargains, meet old
friends or make new ones.

On the personal side, our daughter Leah has taken a new Job in New York City that will allow her to work with in the art field which she loves. We will certainly miss her, but we are thrilled that shes getting the opportunity to put her college degree to appropriate use and move on to a career that she loves. We hope and pray that this will be the beginning of good
things for her. We want to thank everyone from the church who have wished her well.

We welcome our son Tai home from college for the summer. We look forward to his warm smile and cheerful disposition.

As we move forward through May, we will continue to read from the Gospel According to John. We read these gospels as some of the last lessons of Jesus before
He ascended to heaven. They are some of the last things that Jesus wanted the disciples to remember when He left.

I hope and pray your lives are going well. Please continue to keep our church in prayer. I continue to pray for all of you. God bless you all.

Blessings,
Father Wayne
